Acupuncture & Herbs

Laura trained as an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist for four years full time at Middlesex University. This Traditional Chinese Medicine course is highly regarded due to its prominent Chinese tutors and affiliation with the University of Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China.

Laura graduated with first class honours and was awarded the ‘Prize for Excellence in Traditional Chinese Medicine studies’. She is fully insured and a member of the British Acupuncture Council and Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Laura has a special interest in acupuncture for pre-conception, whether it be natural conception, IUI, or IVF support, to postnatal care. Laura has done further training in obstetric acupuncture with Debra Betts, a highly regarded midwife and acupuncturist, http://acupuncture.rhizome.net.nz/. Laura has completed further training in herbal medicine for gynaecology and obstetrics with Dr Trevor Wing and was awarded a distinction for her studies. Laura has also been mentored by Emma Cannon, author of 'The Baby Making Bible', and is part of her 'healthy conception' team in Chelsea. Laura is a member of the ACT (Acupuncture Childbirth Team).

Laura treats a wide range of conditions (see About TCM) and spent two years treating at the pain clinic in Whittington Hospital.
